Do Androids Dream of Electric Jellyfish?

A talented young artist who goes by the screen name Jellyfish Opera was kind enough to make a tribute painting to me in his blog. I pay the favor and the drawing above is my tribute to him and his work. He is well versed in what makes art, and artists behind it tick and you can see it in his blog: The Art of Oliver NePaul Wilson. And as has been a custom this year in these pages, here's a soundtrack to go with the drawing:

This is simply outstanding! I love the passion, the beauty of this piece. I especially love how you put the Red Eye in there which is a favorite of mine, almost all my characters have the red eye trademark.

You've not only proven your skill as a talented artist and taking a well placed idea and bringing it to life as your own, but you have an understanding of other's creations and using that to make the piece a true tribute and homage. As always I'm completely blown away by your work!

Haha now one of these days we will have to do that collab.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the picture! I've been busy preparing future updates for the next few busy weeks as I won't probably have much time to sit in front of my drawing board when the actual moving part starts, and in the process I have exhausted almost all my materials; papers, pens and whatnot! Tomorrow "Nights part 4" will be up, then there will be a couple of shorter updates, and after those an action story. That one should be cool, inspired by one certain martial arts movie, one certain beautiful girl and one certain cool fashion show :)

Like is probably an understatement, I LOVED it.

But I'm wishful your moving goes well, I personally am getting ready to go on spring break from college, which means drawing and lots of chicks in bikinis (I think you can see how the two of these are connected). I'm also considering picking up Dragon age Origins, I've always meant to, but with the special edition out with all the DLC I figured "Why the hell haven't I picked it up yet" haha.

As always I look forward to reading your work. You've always had a very John Woo with a overture of Lenardo Da Vinci to your work. Haha sooner or later you are going to have to come out with a book.

"You've always had a very John Woo with a overture of Lenardo Da Vinci to your work." Actually I prefer Michaelangelo over Da Vinci but still your sentence is something I can quote or put into my sig in forums ;D

Yes, DA:O is worth your time, even though you have to endure time to time sometimes crappy companion AI in battles in console versions. I wish I had more time to devote to DA:O myself, the game is quite a long and convoluted story to dwell into...!

Haha I'm never lacking for quotes.

Well aside from how awesome the Qunari look (I took some time to see some of their concept art and I'm really impressed) and I've always liked the look of Dragon Age, it kinda reminds me of Dark Crystal. Haha I would be getting the Legendary Edition with all the DLC so I wouldn't see myself beating it any time soon.

Plus I've heard from a good friend of mine there are 'Poet' Trees.
