Kiss me wings

Tommy Tabermann (1947-2010)
a great Finnish poet and love apostle

Kiss me wings, I don't fly away,
I just spread them
to cover you,
as a knife to death's throat.
And even if I go,
I won't be gone for long,
soon I'll be back to you,
I give you a sickle to cut with,
a hammer to build with, and seeds and soil to your pot.
And even if I don't come back, you'd be with me,
cross the earths, under my wings like a spring breeze.

(translated from Tabermann's poem 'Siivet' as best as I could do)

The world will be more loveless place without you, Tommy.
