Effective Mass Effect

Please, remember who you're talking to!
Commander Shepard pauses for a thought
 D-fens
Renegade before space
It's over half-way through May already and Mass Effect 2, published in January, is still the game of the year and quite frankly I don't see anything surpassing it, no matter how awesome scores some certain hype game(s) may have scored lately. There would be a lot to tell about the game but this is an art blog so let's once again visit the wonderful world and characters of ME2 through fan art, this time with more Kasumi and my own commander Shepard. What I like about Mass Effect's art design is it has strong echoes of French sci-fi and fantasy graphic novels yet has a style of its own. Also, optical effects (like horizontal halos and luminescent lightning) in the style of Douglas Trumbull who spun his visions to movies such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Blade Runner, are used to a great effect and light up the gorgeous visuals in a way no cheap lens flares could.

You know I think your style is perfect for Kasumi. It really captures her personality and emotions. Your style and artistic level is perfect for Mass Effect regardless and any level of media for that matter. From what I seen you really can bring out that kind of fresh newly "Blade Runner" feel which is magnificent.
